Susan and I decided to put our Christmas money for each other together this year and get one item to share. That item? A Kindle – an electronic book that is wired with WiFi and can even surf the web.
We’ve only had it for a couple of weeks now and are still learning how to use it; but we are already enjoying it very much! One of the cooler features is that you can download a free sample of most books with one simple click.
The obvious advantage to the reader is that you can “test drive” a chapter or two to see if you like it before you buy it. The obvious advantage for the publisher is that hopefully people will like what they read and want to get the whole book.
In a way, you and I are like a free sample for people to read. Our lives serve as a preview of God. What they experience with us or observe in how we relate to others will affect whether or not they want to go further in exploring a life with God.
It’s the start of a new week. New day. New opportunities. New encounters with others.
May our preview leave people with a desire to further explore God!
Nice analogy. I got a Kindle for the first time this year and really enjoy it.
Thanks Tony! And thanks for stopping by my blog. I took some time to check out yours and really like it, especially the SOAP application. God bless!
