God has a kingdom agenda

Surrender is not the surrender of the external life, but of the will; when that is done, all is done. There are very few crisis in life; the great crisis is the surrender of the will. ~ Oswald Chambers

It’s a new day and a new week. God has a plan, a purpose for each of us; a kingdom agenda for us to participate in.

It could be something large and obvious in nature; or it could be something seemingly small and insignificant. Perhaps something that is camouflaged in what would appear to be an otherwise ordinary event in an ordinary day.

Only God knows for sure what it is or where it will lead. But I can tell you with absolute certainty that the first step; the beginning of the journey is surrender.

Will we give ourselves to be part of whatever God has planned?

Total surrender of one’s own will is so difficult. At times, I seem to be there, but then I take control back. It is always an ongoing struggle, & yet, one that is so necessary.

and how do we do that?? surrender? i mean, dont we have some sort of control in our lives? I think i need another chat session….

    • Yes, we do have some control in our lives but not as much freedom as we might think. If I have a choice between three jobs I am in control of which one I pick, but once I choose then I am giving myself to someone else’s control in terms of certain conditions or aspects of that job. We exercise our freedom to choose to follow Jesus and then give ourselves to certain conditions that He establishes. Hope that helps a bit until we can find a time to chat.
