He was watered, feed and taken to the potty before we left.
He has a soft pillow to lay on in his cage along with a stuffed play monkey to keep him company.
We’ve done this countless times in the year-and-a-half that we’ve had him.
Every time we’ve ever left him we’ve always come back. And yet, every time we leave him he just shakes like a leaf in the wind.
Doesn’t he get it? Doesn’t he know we’ll come back? Doesn’t he know that we… they love him? Doesn’t he trust us?
But then again, I wonder if God doesn’t ask the same questions when we run up against another life obstacle and begin to worry or fret.
Don’t they get it? Don’t they know I’m here for them? Don’t they know I love them? Don’t they remember how I’ve always been there for them in the past?
Don’t they trust Me?
“The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save, He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” ~ Zephaniah 3:17
